The “cheapest-of” rule: a department is always quoted the lower of (the sum of its sections' banded prices) or the department / institutional tier — you're never penalized for a mix of section sizes.

We're launching with a small, selectively invited group of early design partners. Design partners pay $0, with a named conversion date and price set up front — and at conversion you choose the model that fits your budget (department pays, or students pay).
How buying works
Every band, the $1,995 department tier, and the entry $4,995 institutional price clear a typical single-transaction p-card with no RFP, paid from instructor or department discretionary budget. Larger institutional contracts go through standard PO / invoice. If your department has no budget at all, the student-pay route sidesteps procurement entirely. No money changes hands before Fall 2027 — early tiers are $0.
